Fair warning: Any form of art from cinema and games to music and visual novels is highly subjective. If there’s one thing I’ve learned toiling away in graphic design is that when dealing with a subjective domain, you can never have “the best” list of anything. The beauty is in the eye (or arse) of the beholder, so they say. Literature is also an art. As such, by no means is this list complete, the hard truth, or even an educated calculation.
